Molita Yazzie
Project Director Molita Yazzie is from the Dine’ Nation in Northern Arizona and specializes in health and social equity for Native Nations. Molita will be responsible for implementing and evaluating the Reclaiming the Narrative: Learning the Truth about Native American Boarding Schools in Arizona Project.

Hannah Rude
Academic Co-Director Hannah Rude is the Director of K-12 Social Studies and World and Native Languages at the Arizona Department of Education. She is the Academic Co-Director for the workshop and oversees teacher experiences and lesson planning ensuring connections between the historical landmarks and their projects. She will meet individually with all participants.

Helen Thomas
Academic Co-Director Helen Thomas is a citizen of the Standing Rock Sioux Nation and Professional Learning Specialist for the National Indian Education Association. She is the Academic Co-Director for the workshop and oversees the design of the week's narrative and coordination of guest lecturers. She will provide culturally responsive and appropriate coaching and guidance to educators.

Support Specialists
Elena Selestewa
Logistics Specialist Elena Selestewa is the Phoenix Indian School Visitor Center Specialist. She will assist participants with all of their logistics while we are at the Phoenix Indian School Visitor Center.

Linda Burrows
Education Specialist Linda Burrows is the Deputy Associate Superintendent of Academic Standards at the Arizona Department of Education. She will assist with the academic requirements.

Brooke Curleyhair
Education Specialist Brooke Curleyhair is the Education Program Specialist for the Office of Indian Education at the Arizona Department of Education. She will assist with the academic requirements.
